Friday 25th May – 7.00pm

Saturday 26th May – Mini Matinee 11.00am Approx.1 hour

2.30pm and 7.00pm

The show is a wonderful chance for the performers to really shine and show off their talents. We bring in professional lighting, sound and costumes to make it a really top-notch production! If you or your child is unable to participate please do let us know in writing as soon as possible as a great deal of planning goes into making it a magical experience. Please note if they are not taking part in the show this will not affect their regular class. If you do not OPT OUT of the show by 9th March 2018 you will be charged the show fee.  The show fee will be included in the summer term invoice. The performers get so much out of the whole experience and we highly recommend all BKD performers participate.

Chaperones

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We need help with rehearsals and the shows so it would be good to know your availability.

We are required by law to have licensed chaperones backstage to look after your children and we need parents to volunteer to train as chaperones with Surrey County Council. If you already hold a SCC Chaperone license and can help out please do let us know ASAP.

NO PARENTS WILL BE ABLE TO HELP BACKSTAGE UNLESS THEY ARE A CHAPERONE. Please do let us know ASAP if you are already a registered chaperone or are willing to train to be one so we can make a rota for the shows and rehearsals. Thanks in advance!

Costumes and Show Fees

We always try our hardest to keep the cost of the show to a minimum, as we want all the performers to have access to the wonderful experience of performing on stage.

For the main show there will be a £20 show fee per class to cover the cost of all rehearsals and costumes, enabling us to hire and make them for the show - eg If you take Primary Ballet and Inter Musical Theatre classes = £40 show fee.

For the Mini Matinee the show fee is £15 per performer.

YOU MAY NOT KEEP ANY OF THE COSTUMES

In addition to the show fee there may be other items required which will need to be purchased before 20th May 2018 so we can add them to the costume. These include tights, socks and some footwear.

Advanced, Vocational and Adult classes will be required to provide their own appropriate underwear to suit the costumes.

We plan the costumes based on the assumption you have the ALL the correct uniform and footwear for the class(es) your child participates in so you may need to purchase additional items if your child does not have the correct dancewear. You MUST ensure your child has the CORRECT FOOTWEAR for class.

Sally Aldridge at En Pointe Dancewear can provide all uniform requirements and can be contacted on

07879 466 401 or email sales@enpointedancewear.co.uk

In cases of hardship please contact Miss Cathie to discuss your options.

Hair and Make up

PLEASE NOTE FALSE EYELASHES ARE OPTIONAL - BOYS DO NOT HAVE TO WEAR MAKE UP (unless they want to!)

OLDER PERFORMERS SHOULD FOLLOW THE FIRST TUTORIAL and FROM 10.27mins THERE IS A TUTORIAL FOR THE YOUNGER PERFORMER.

All performers will be expected to have immaculate hair for the show and details of styles will be confirmed when costumes are finalized.

All performers (with exception of those in the Mini Matinee) will need to wear a small amount of make up as the stage lighting washes out your features and is part of the whole experience.
