Royal Academy of Dance - South East Awards Heats 2024
Hello Everyone,
Please find via the button above the Information Pack for the South East Awards Heats and Grand Final 2024.
This Awards Day is run by the South East Region and has been set up to provide RAD students, based in the South East Region and aged 8-17 years, an opportunity to take part in a fun, open level ballet class and compete for a place at the Awards Day final.
Booking is now open for the classes at each of the 5 South East Heats. Full details of the venues can be found in the ‘Awards Information Pack’ attached to this email.
To book places please use / share the links below – Please make sure you book onto the correct heat for your county
Do book early to avoid disappointment, as the places in each class are strictly limited to 25.
The Overall winner from each of the three Finals classes at RAD HQ on Sunday 12 May 2024 will each receive a £300 cash prize
The Awards take place in two parts;
1. Firstly, students must take part in a county heat where they will be adjudicated based on criteria set out by the Royal Academy of Dance (see attached information pack for Criteria). The adjudicator at all the heats will be Darren Parish PDTD, DPBMN, RAD RTS.
2. Finalists will be selected from each class at each county heat to attend the final in London at RAD headquarters, where a winner from each class will be decided. Darren Parish will be taking the classes at the final and two prestigious judges will adjudicate to select the winners.
On the Finals day (Sunday 12 May 2024) there will be three classes and one winner and two runners up will be selected from each class. The Overall winner from each of the three Finals classes will receive a £300 cash prize and there will be prizes for the first and second runners up at the Final too.
As previously, candidates will be entered by their Parent / Guardian. All bookings will be done through Eventbrite. Booking links are below and in the attached information pack
